We have a fun packed week!<\/p>\n
Our field trip to the Dearborn firehouse is\u00a0Wednesday from 9:30-11:30<\/strong>.\u00a0 If you have not already turned in your permission slip, I need it no later than\u00a0Tuesday, October 23.<\/strong>\u00a0Wear your Miller shirts! On Thursday we have a visit to the pumpkin patch and petting farm that will be coming to Miller.\u00a0 We also have a magic show as part of our PBIS reward for the month of October.\u00a0 In the evening on Thursday, the PTA will be hosting their annual Boo Bash from 5:00-6:30.\u00a0 I hope you all can attend\u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n Here is what our academic week looks like:<\/p>\n Math:<\/strong>\u00a0 We will be starting module 2.\u00a0 This week we will focus on using a clock to measure time in seconds and minutes.<\/p>\n Science:<\/strong>\u00a0 We will explore the concept of friction and how it affects a rolling car by testing it on different surfaces.\u00a0 Students will develop a claim about friction and support that claim with evidence from their investigation.<\/p>\n Social Studies:<\/strong>\u00a0 We will finish up the unit and begin going over the study guide.\u00a0 The test will be given Friday.\u00a0 More information will be coming as to the exact date.<\/p>\n Reading:<\/strong>\u00a0 We will focus on comparing and contrasting two informational texts using bubble maps.<\/p>\n Writing:<\/strong>\u00a0 We continue to work on our narrative writing pieces<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" We have a fun packed week!
