are learning how to hold, strum, pluck and play chords on the ukulele.\u00a0 Ukulele is a string instrument with 4 strings, GCEA, and is similar to the guitar, a 6-stringed instrument.\u00a0 Our students will learn how to pluck strings and play several different chords.\u00a0 After learning chords, our 5th graders will be playing along with popular (school appropriate) songs.\u00a0 We are all looking forward to this awesome opportunity to learn how to play a new instrument!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">There are several different sizes of ukulele, as seen below.\u00a0 Our students will be playing <em>soprano<\/em> ukuleles, one of the higher voices in the ukulele family.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a
