Hello Oakman Friends and Families,<\/p>\n

My name is Erin Faryniarz and I am excited to be the new music teacher at Oakman and join this great family!\u00a0 This is my eighth year teaching elementary music and I’m looking forward to including lots of instrument playing, movement and singing in music class this year.<\/p>\n

Just want to give a little information about myself and my family.\u00a0 I got married on Oct. 27, 2018 to my wonderful husband, Brad Faryniarz and he and I just adopted a 3 year-old Golden Retriever named Windsor.\u00a0 Both my husband and I graduated from Eastern Michigan University, where I majored in Music Education with clarinet being my main instrument.\u00a0 Aside from teaching K-5 music, I also assist with the Woodhaven-Brownstown Marching Band and give clarinet lessons to middle and high school students.\u00a0 In my free time, I love to read and go for bike rides in our awesome Detroit area Metro Parks.\u00a0 My favorite treats are chocolate and Tim Horton’s coffee.<\/p>\n
