Welcome back!<\/p>\n
I am sorry I am not there to start the year with all of you. \u00a0When I come back I will explain why I had to be gone this long.<\/p>\n
I wanted to take a moment to give you some words of advice and suggestions to help you have a great semester in my class.<\/p>\n
I’m sure most of you know my reputation. \u00a0If you don’t, it is (or should be) that I am “chill” but “snap” if you don’t listen\/follow directions. \u00a0Both are very true. \u00a0I believe a classroom should be someplace you enjoy spending an hour in. \u00a0However, my stronger belief is that it should be a place I enjoy spending my day in!<\/p>\n
Ms. Saghir is doing me a huge favor\u00a0by\u00a0subbing for me. \u00a0She is your teacher for the next few weeks, not “the sub”. \u00a0PLEASE show her the attention and respect she deserves. \u00a0If she has a bad month, chances are VERY likely, that you will not enjoy the rest of your semester in my class. \u00a0I asked her to sub for me because I know she is fair, and a good educator. \u00a0She is not the babysitter!<\/p>\n
Most of you are know Juniors. \u00a0This is, by far, the most important year in your high school career. \u00a0Anything is possible and, for the most part, attainable. \u00a0I really am excited to help you realize and take advantage of this.<\/p>\n

I hope the beginning of the year treats you all well and that you will do as I ask and respect Ms. Saghir and her authority. \u00a0Feel free to ask former students the consequences of having a substitute leave a bad report :).<\/p>\n
