Wayne County Regional Enhancement Education Millage Proposal

  • Posted on November 6, 2016 at 4:53 pm

School districts in Wayne County have placed a proposal on the November 8th ballot to provide added funding for our schools. It is the “Regional Enhancement Millage Proposal.” If approved by the entire county, the 2 mil proposal will generate approximately $6.2 million from Dearborn but the District will receive $7.8 million in additional funding for our schools.  Money would go to local schools starting this year and the millage expires after six years.

This week….

Reminder: tomorrow is the last day of school and it is a half day, so dismissal is at 11:45.

Also, students cleaned out their desks yesterday. They brought a lot of their things home. Please make sure to send your child to school today and tomorrow with an empty backpack and folder.

TODAY I will be sending home a letter informing you of your child’s academic standing, the SUMMER GROWTH PLAN ( which is their summer packet. This is a weekly outline of what your child should be doing during the summer. Each week when a task is completed you must sign it. Turn it back in the first day of school in September for a prize! The different kinds/genres of books indicated can be obtained from your local library or Myon. Let’s work together to avoid the downward summer slide ), NWEA progress report, and a laminated picture of your child from the beginning and end of the year for you to cherish as memories of your child in first grade. The following is a link of  the summer packet/ summer growth plan just in case it is misplaced over the Summer.
