The <strong>\u201cRead at Home Plan\u201d<\/strong> promotes engaging students and their families with reading on a daily basis. Below are the <strong>grade-level requirements<\/strong> for reading at home every day. We ask that you talk to your children about what they are reading each day. This daily routine will make a positive impact on your child\u2019s success in school.<\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Grade Level<\/span><\/strong><\/td>\n<td><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Monthly Reading Expectations<\/span><\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\">KINDERGARTEN<\/span><\/strong><\/td>\n<td><strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Read 10 &#8211; 15 minutes Monday &#8211; Friday and record book title, who read the book (Read to Child, Read with Child, Read by Child), any comments (optional), and parent initials on a weekly reading log. Reading logs are collected each week on Friday.<\/span><\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\">FIRST<\/span><\/strong><\/td>\n<td><strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Read 15 minutes Monday-Friday and record book title, amount of time read and parent signature on a monthly reading log. Reading logs will be collected at the end of the month.<\/span><\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">SECOND<\/span><\/strong><\/td>\n<td><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Read 25-30 minutes each night and complete the reading log.
