Progress Reports Are Going Home Today<\/h1>\n

*Bell Work<\/p>\n

*Identifying themes using the Carousel method.\u00a0 Students went to five different stations that each had a short story for students to read with partners.\u00a0 They were required to answer four questions after each read aloud.<\/p>\n

1)\u00a0 Identify the main subject.\u00a0 Example:\u00a0 forgiveness, hope, strength…<\/p>\n

2)\u00a0 What action (s) do the characters take involving the particular subject?<\/p>\n

3)\u00a0 What are the effects or consequences of these actions?<\/p>\n

4)\u00a0 Create a theme statement.\u00a0 Example: Forgiveness can lead to positive outcomes in a personal life.<\/p>\n

*Homework:\u00a0 “Abula” Lesson if not finished in class.<\/p>\n
