I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather yesterday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was hoping to schedule a virtual meeting via Google Meet for this week sometime, but I would like to know what time works best for the majority of families.  I would like to talk to parents first and then the children can hop on afterwards and see each other &lt;3<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We all have busy days filled with online learning, so please let me know if this time works for you&#8230; I am thinking <strong>Thursday<\/strong> sometime in the afternoon, would <strong>2 pm<\/strong> work for you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Feel free to send any pictures from todays activities which will be shared on Friday\u2019s post!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>**There is a new section in our daily schedule for Work Time&#8230; this is something we do everyday in our classrooms. Please read that section below and let me know if you have any questions!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Suggested Schedule<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>While our children are at home, the most important thing we can do is to keep them in a routine. This helps comfort the child as well as provides some peace for you &lt;3&nbsp;Create a schedule that works best for you and your family. Keeping a consistent routine will be beneficial for all of your at home learners. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Good Morning!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Good Morning Parents and Students, Mrs. Abdellah and I miss you all so much. Remember our letter of the week last week? Try your best &lt;3 you can use crayons, markers, and even a pencil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lunch Time<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Remember to eat your fruits and vegetables &lt;3 Ms. Stafiej is having tuna with vegetables!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Chore Time<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Clean your spot after lunch, help to wash the dishes, clean up your toys and your room.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Quiet Time<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Children have time to relax and \u201ccharge\u201d their bodies. If your child doesn\u2019t normally nap at home, they can read stories or do a quiet activity of your choice (<em><strong>no screens please!<\/strong><\/em>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Work Time<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td>5 to 10 minutes<\/td><td><strong>Plan for Work Time:<\/strong>&nbsp; Build your child\u2019s ability to organize their time by having them make a \u201cplan\u201d with you about what they would like to play with.&nbsp; Children do this everyday with us at school. It helps children learn to organize their thoughts. Adults make plans all the time to organize their thoughts (shopping lists are made before going to the grocery store, to do lists are made to help plan your day etc..).&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>Kids will tell you what they are planning to do\/want to play with\/how they will use toys at home.&nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>1 hour<\/td><td><strong>Work Time<\/strong>: Kids play <strong>WITHOUT ELECTRONICS<\/strong>.&nbsp; Kids can use toys to pretend play, build, and create.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>15 minutes<\/td><td><strong>Clean Up<\/strong> <strong>Time<\/strong>:&nbsp; Kids clean up the mess they have made while playing.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>5 to 10 minutes<\/td><td><strong>Recall<\/strong> <strong>Time<\/strong>:&nbsp; Build your child\u2019s memory of events by having your child tell you what they did while they played (ask \u201ctell me how you did that\u201d or \u201cwhat did you do next?\u201d)<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><\/td><td><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Daily 5 \u2013 Listen to Reading &amp; Math Activity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Do you have any Pete the Cat stories at home to read? If so, gather those books to read to your family member.
