{"id":4930,"date":"2020-04-14T12:16:04","date_gmt":"2020-04-14T16:16:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/msstafiej\/?p=4930"},"modified":"2020-04-17T14:34:10","modified_gmt":"2020-04-17T18:34:10","slug":"food-distribution-updates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/msstafiej\/2020\/04\/14\/food-distribution-updates\/","title":{"rendered":"Food Distribution Updates"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>After speaking with a couple families today, I wanted to share the following information out&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following link has all of the food distribution centers listed by dates, locations, and time:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greatstartwayne.org\/findhelp-food\">https:\/\/www.greatstartwayne.org\/findhelp-food<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dearborn Public Schools Distribution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Dearborn Public Schools is offering free pickup lunch and breakfast for students while<br>school is closed for the mandatory shut down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Families will be able to stop in and pick up a bag with both breakfast and lunch for each child in the family. \u00a0Pickups will run <strong>Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays <\/strong>from <strong>10 a.m. to 12<\/strong> at <em><strong>Fordson, Edsel Ford and Dearborn High schools, McCollough-Unis, Salina Intermediate, and Woodworth Middle School<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note, meals are available to anyone age 18 and younger.&nbsp; <em>Students do not need to be present, <\/em>and the Dearborn School student does not need to attend at that building. &nbsp;A designated person can collect meals for multiple children.&nbsp; Meals for Saturday and Sunday can be picked up on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The program will allow the District\u2019s 20,700 students to continue to have access to healthy food.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Superintendent Glenn Maleyko praised the District\u2019s food service team for quickly implementing this drastic change in service to meet the needs of families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe appreciate the patience of our families and community as we all try to adjust to this sudden change from closing schools,\u201d Dr. Maleyko said.&nbsp;
