READING-We begin Unit 8 \u00a0PLANTS<\/strong><\/p>\n This week\u2019s theme is\u00a0How Trees Grow.\u00a0<\/strong>We\u2019ll be working with\u00a0Sequencing<\/strong>\u00a0with recalling stories and events. \u00a0We\u2019ll also focus on\u00a0sequencing\u00a0<\/strong>with this week\u2019s writing. \u00a0First, Next, Then, Last<\/p>\n LETTERS-\u00a0Kk-(beginning sound) \u00a0 \u00a0-ck (ending sound)<\/strong><\/p>\n SIGHT WORDS-\u00a0 \u00a0little \u00a0 \u00a0 said<\/strong><\/p>\n We will work with the -ot\u00a0<\/strong>word family: cot, pot, not, hot, rot, knot<\/p>\n Spelling Words: \u00a0little \u00a0said \u00a0hot \u00a0not \u00a0pot \u00a0cot \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n WRITING-We will be writing Steps in a Process.<\/p>\n For example, Steps to make a Sandwich<\/p>\n First<\/strong>, you get some bread.<\/p>\n Next<\/strong>\u00a0you spread on peanut butter.<\/p>\n Then<\/strong>\u00a0you spread on jelly.<\/p>\n Last<\/strong>, you eat it.<\/p>\n Try some steps at home\u2026Steps to get Ready For Bed, For School, To Go To Grandma\u2019s House, To Eat Cereal<\/p>\n You don\u2019t have to write down everything. \u00a0Just talking through the steps is good practice for sequencing the thoughts\/steps.<\/p>\n MATH-We\u2019ll be doing some worksheets with Missing Numbers to 20. \u00a0We\u2019ll also play a Dice Addition Game with partners.<\/p>\n SCIENCE-Of course, we\u2019ll plant some seeds.<\/p>\n SOCIAL STUDIES-We\u2019ll talk about jobs that are related to\u00a0Plants.<\/strong><\/p>\n REMINDERS<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Tuesday is St. Patrick\u2019s Day so we\u2019ll be celebrating the \u201cHoliday\u201d in here. \u00a0Wear something GREEN.<\/p>\n Wednesday: Library Day<\/p>\n Friday: Spelling test and publishing our writing<\/p>\n Have a great wek!<\/p>\n Ms. Mohamed<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" We are finally feeling Spring in the air!
