Reading: We will discuss the arctic animals. We will identify
the main idea and one detail about the topic read. We will also
identify author\u2019s purpose to inform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Writing: We are learning about informational writing. We will
write about an arctic animal together each day (arctic fox,
penguins, polar bears, etc). We will use a story as guide to
collect information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Language Arts: Blends and digraphs: ch- , -ch(chop, chip,
touch, crunch, etc)Phonemic Awareness: rhymes, short i medial
sound of cvc words, Sight words: little, here (review: have,
you,said, this, on, up, dog )<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Math We will be counting numbers 0-75. We will continue to
practice count by 5\u2019s to 100. We will continue to compare sets of
objects using the symbols: greater than, less than, and equal to:
<,>,=. We will have a test on this material this week. Please practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Social Studies: We will learn about a timeline. Your child
will need to identify milestones in their lives. When they were
born? What happened when they were 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, years old.
We will plot it on a timeline to present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Science: We will continue to learn about tracking weather
conditions. We will investigate severe weather conditions such
as: hurricane, tornado, tsunami and flooding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
