In Kindergarten, this week we will focus on: <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reading: We will discuss the seasons and make self to text
connections. We will discuss activities and things that happen
during that season. We will identify author\u2019s purpose to inform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Writing: We are learning about opinion writing. We will write
about which season was our favorite. The sentence stem will
be: My favorite season was__. I like it because__.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Language Arts: Blends and digraphs: th- (thumb, the,
that etc)Phonemic Awareness: rhymes, short o medial sound of
cvc words, Sight words:have, you<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Math: We will be counting numbers 0-50. We will practice
count by 5\u2019s to 100. Comparing sets of objects using the
symbols: greater than, less than, and equal to: <,>,=.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Social Studies: We will learn about a timeline. Your child
will need to identify milestones in their lives. when they were
born? What happened when they were 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, years old. we
will plot it on a timeline to present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Science: We will learn about tracking weather conditions.
We will investigate sunny, cloudy, rainy, stormy, foggy, windy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reminders: We are in need of snacks. Perishable items preferred like crackers, pretzels or goldfish. You donations are appreciated<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Please dress your child appropriately for the weather. It is getting colder and it is easier to remove layers. If your child does not have snow boots, your child will not be allowed to step in the snow. If your child does not snow pants, your child will not be allowed to play in the snow. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
