Reading: Practice retelling stories with a key focus on beginning and end
of a story. We will listen to stories titled: Under the apple tree;
The apple pie tree; Amelia Bedelia’s first apple pie; Johnny
Appleseed; Apples Apples Apples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Writing: We are learning about narrative writing. We will
write about going to recess with a beginning, middle and end
using pictures and labeling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Language Arts: Phonics: Letters Kk, Gg- correct formation (always start from the top and write down), the sound and words that begin with
that sound; Phonemic Awareness: Syllables, rhymes Sight word: like, (review: I, can, see)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Math: We will be counting numbers 0-10, we will practice
writing numbers 0-10 correctly. We will discuss different ways
to make 9, 10. We will count in rows, columns, scattered and
circular arrays. (one to one correspondence)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Science: We will learn about being a scientist. We will review
the 5 senses and carry out an investigation to taste, smell,
touch, hear, and sight. Students will have an opportunity to
guess their answers and check their responses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
