We will ask and answer questions. We will discuss the cause and effect. We will visualize a story. We will make self to text connections to read alouds<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Spelling words: (-op) pop, top, mop, stop, plop, flop, shop, chop, up, down<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Language Arts<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We are learning the s-blends (sp-, sk-). Sight words: up, down. We will review nouns, verbs and adjectives. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We will review antonyms, syllables, magic\/bossy e and endings in a word (suffixes- ing, -ed,-er, -s, -y).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Writing<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We will be writing cards for Mother\u2019s Day. We will also write informational pieces about our mom using descriptive writing. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Math<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We will answer how many within a group of 20. We will build a rekenrek. We will practice counting in an array, linear and circular configuration. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Science<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We will monitor and record what is happening to our plants. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Social Studies<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We will discuss ways for saving the earth and how to reuse materials in classroom.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Important Dates coming up:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Curriculum Night: Thursday, May 2nd @5-6:30<\/li>\n<li>Mother&#8217;s Day Tea: Friday, May 3rd @7:45-8:45<\/li>\n<li>Field Trip to Greenfield Village: Thursday, May 16th<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We need snacks! if you can donate some that would be great.
