We will be identifying story elements in fictional stories. We will identify the characters, setting, problem, solution and BME of a story. We will review prediction. <\/span><\/p>\n Spelling words: (-ag) bag, sag, nag, tag, rag, and, make, said \u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n Language Arts<\/b><\/p>\n We are learning the r-blends (cr-,pr-). Sight words:<\/span> and, make, said \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Writing<\/b><\/p>\n We will be write a narrative piece about a penguin that got lost. We will create 3 characters and a setting.<\/span><\/p>\n Math<\/b><\/p>\n We will review missing addend with numbers for 0-8. We will review addition and subtraction within word problems. We will write equations that will match the word problem. <\/span><\/p>\n Social Studies<\/b><\/p>\n We will continue to learn about maps and globes. we will review concepts such as: key, symbols, compass rose and cardinal directions: N,S,E,W<\/span><\/p>\n Parent Reader Schedule Update:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n To increase awareness of the importance of reading, we will be hosting parent readers. So, in celebration of March is Reading Month, I’m requesting parents (that are available of course) to come in and read your child’s favorite story. This would take no longer than 10 minutes.
