We are working specifically on tricky teens. Make sure your child is is writing 14 not 41; \u00a015 not 51 etc.. Here is a chant that will help remember the order of writing the numbers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">1 and 1 make 11 fun,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">1 and a 2 tell 12 what to do,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">1 and a 3 tell 13 climb a tree,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">1 and a 4 tell 14 shut the door,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">1 and a 5 keep 15 alive,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">1 and a 6 tell 16 pick up sticks,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">1 and a 7 send 17 to heaven,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">1 and a 8 makes 18 great,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">1 and a 9 keep 19 in line<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">2 and a 0 makes 20 a hero!<\/p>\n<p><strong>We are also highlighting that:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>11 is one ten and 1 one<\/li>\n<li>12 is one ten and 2 ones<\/li>\n<li>13 is one ten and 3 ones<\/li>\n<li>14 is one ten and 4 ones<\/li>\n<li>15 is one ten and 5 ones<\/li>\n<li>16 is one ten and 6 ones<\/li>\n<li>17 is one ten and 7 ones<\/li>\n<li>18 is one ten and 8 ones<\/li>\n<li>19 is one ten and 9 ones<\/li>\n<li>20 is 2 tens or 10 and 10<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Math: We are practicing writing numbers 1-20.
