Content that we will cover:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>needs<\/li>\n<li>wants<\/li>\n<li>goods<\/li>\n<li>services<\/li>\n<li>trade<\/li>\n<li>what things can we use to learn about the past?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Math test:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>counting 1-100<\/li>\n<li>count by 10&#8217;s<\/li>\n<li>count forward from a given number<\/li>\n<li>count and write the quantity<\/li>\n<li>greater than\/less than\/equal to<\/li>\n<li>identify shapes- 2d 3d<\/li>\n<li>what shapes can be built to make another shape<\/li>\n<li>adding simple numbers 0-5<\/li>\n<li>subtracting simple number 0-5<\/li>\n<li>different ways to make a number using 5 frames and ten frames<\/li>\n<li>writing a number sentence to match a number story read aloud<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Reading Progress check:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>identify what level they reading at<\/li>\n<li>letter and sound check<\/li>\n<li>Consonant vowel consonant-cvc-word read\u00a0 ie: big, sun, top etc.<\/li>\n<li>identify beginning middle end of a cvc word<\/li>\n<li>identify beginning, middle, end of story<\/li>\n<li>answer questions to story read aloud<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>NWEA TESTING COMING UP:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reading: 1-18-18<\/li>\n<li>Math: 1-25-18<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Below is a site to give you an idea what it looks like. There is a video and sample questions in both areas:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/warmup.nwea.org\/warmup_start_educators_mpg.html\">https:\/\/warmup.nwea.org\/warmup_start_educators_mpg.html<\/a><\/p>\n<p>To make sure your child does well, you could:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Make sure they get enough sleep<\/li>\n<li>They eat a good breakfast<\/li>\n<li>Remind them to do their best<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All students will be posted on Parent Connect Jan. 26th.
