Hope everyone enjoyed their fabulous weekend!<\/p>\n<p>This week we are learning about:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reading:<\/strong> We will be listening to the stories: Hands Can; Gingerbread Man; I love my new toy;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Strategies to focus on:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Author<\/li>\n<li>Illustrator<\/li>\n<li>Front cover, back cover, spine\/binding of a book<\/li>\n<li>Characters<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We will begin to add parts in daily 5 in addition to Read to Self which are Work on Writing, Listen to Reading, Technology (computer and I-Pad time).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Letters of the week:<\/strong> Dd, Tt<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sight word of the week:<\/strong> Can (Review: I, am)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Math:<\/strong> We will focus on numbers 6-10 this week and what comes after any number 1-10<\/p>\n<p><strong>Science:<\/strong> We will discuss Germs and ways to keep them away from us. We will discuss what it means to be a scientist. We will discuss what it means to observe. Last week, we observed a caterpillar and a butterfly hatch.
