Week 3: Flowers<\/p>\n
Reading:<\/strong> We will read Sunflower House; Flowers; How the garden grows; The elephant and the rabbit. Each story focuses on how plants and flowers grow and what they look like.<\/p>\n Spelling:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n bit<\/p>\n fit<\/p>\n hit<\/p>\n kit<\/p>\n lit<\/p>\n pit<\/p>\n slit<\/p>\n red<\/p>\n yellow<\/p>\n blue<\/p>\n Grammar:<\/strong> Adjectives: to describe something<\/p>\n Writing:<\/strong> We will be using adjectives to describe a specific flower. We will work on one flower on Tuesday and the writing sample should come home as usual. On Wednesday, your child is expected to choose a different flower and write a description in the same format of the writing on Tuesday. The sentence stem are: \u00a0___ have___. ___are ___. ___has____.<\/p>\n Math:<\/strong> We ware learning about clocks and telling time to the nearest hour. We are also learning about a function machine. What is the rule is I put a number in the machine and a different number comes out. I have games to practice for both skills:<\/p>\n https:\/\/www.teachingtime.co.uk\/draggames\/sthec1.html<\/p>\n https:\/\/www.littlefishsw.co.uk\/card\/functionmachine.html<\/p>\n Science:<\/strong> We are learning about plant parts.
