Short week-Spring break begins Friday, March 25. Students will return Monday, April 4th.<\/p>\n<p>We planted our flowers last week, so why not dive in and learn about different kind of flowers????<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reading:<\/strong> We will read Sunflower house, The Garden Grows, and the Elephant and the Rabbit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Writing<\/strong>: We will be writing a description about a particular flower. Students will pick a flower and write its description. Sentence stem: ____ are ____. Examples include: roses are red. Roses can have sharp thorns. Roses are beautiful.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Word Family:<\/strong> (-un) bun, fun, sun, run, stun<\/p>\n<p><strong>Spelling words:<\/strong> little, said, here, was, bun, fun, sun, run, plant, grow<\/p>\n<p>Spelling Test Thursday!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Math:<\/strong> Subtraction practice. Students will practice decomposing number\u00a010 using manipulatives. 10-7=3, 10-6=4, 10-5=5<\/p>\n<p><strong>Science:<\/strong> Plant parts and planting investigation continued. We will create diagrams of a plant and labeling its parts.
