Your child may choose to bring in a game from home or an electronic device to play on during the party. If your child does not have a game they want to bring to school, we have activities they may play with in class. If you do choose to send a game to school with your child, please label everything with your child\u2019s name. Small items are easily lost, please think about what would be an appropriate game to send in with your child, as they will be responsible for whatever they choose to bring to school. Please send one game to school with your child on Thursday, March 29th.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thank you!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>3\/30 \u2013 4\/8 NO SCHOOL!!! SPRING BREAK!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Agenda for the w<\/strong><strong>eek<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Reading\/writing\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0We worked on the letter Jj.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0This week we learned the sight word is.\u00a0 We are using I can see a, I like, and I can\u00a0 as sentence starters for writer\u2019s workshop.\u00a0 We have learned the following sight words: I, am, can see, like, my, you and look in. Please practice writing sentences at home with the I am and I can and I see a, I like\u00a0 sentence starters. Please continue helping your child write their first and last name at home.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0We are learning to stretch our words and write the sounds we here and we are learning to put a period at the end of our sentence.\u00a0 We learned how and when to use an exclamation point in our writing.Keep practicing your letters and sounds.DON\u2019T FORGET TO DO READING EGGS AT HOME 3 DAYS A WEEK! We are learning to use our sight words to create new stories during writers\u2019s workshop.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Math<\/strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 We will continue working on numbers from 0-20. Please\u00a0 have your child work on Math Seeds 3 days a week.\u00a0 We are working on counting to 30. We are learning to show the value of a number in different ways. \u00a0We are using our fingers, ten frames and tally marks to represent a number. We are playing math games in math workshop to help us learn numbers and their values.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Social \u00a0Studies\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0We are learning about maps and globes.\u00a0 We are learning how to read a map and use the map key to find things on a map.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Science\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0We are learning about animals.\u00a0 Today we learned about animal teeth.<\/p>\n<p>Please make sure to\u00a0<strong>empty\u00a0<\/strong>the green folders each night! It is very difficult and time consuming to locate homework or important notes when the folder is full of papers from the day before.
