Reading\/writing\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0We worked on the letter Kk. \u00a0Please continue helping your child write their first and last name at home.\u00a0 We are continuing with writer\u2019s workshop and are learning how to draw a picture and label it or write about it. \u00a0 We are learning to stretch our words and write the sounds we here and we are learning to put a period at the end of our sentence. Keep practicing your letters and sounds.DON\u2019T FORGET TO DO READING EGGS AT HOME 3 DAYS A WEEK. I will be giving \u201choots\u201d to students who do Reading Eggs at home.\u00a0 We are learning about characters and setting in our stories. We read several Pete the Cat stories and did some sequencing activities to go along with the story.<\/p>\n

Math<\/strong>\u00a0 \u00a0We are working on numbers from 0-20. Please\u00a0 have your child work on Math Seeds 3 days a week.\u00a0 We are working on counting to 20. We are learning to show the value of a number in different ways. \u00a0We are using our fingers, ten frames and tally marks to represent a number. We are playing math games in math workshop to help us learn numbers and their values.<\/p>\n

Social \u00a0Studies\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0We are learning the difference between goods and services.<\/p>\n

Science\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>We are learning about different kinds of weather.\u00a0 Next week, we will become weather watchers and forecasters.\u00a0 We will record and graph the weather for the whole month of December.<\/p>\n

Please make sure to\u00a0empty\u00a0<\/strong>the green folders each night! It is very difficult and time consuming to locate homework or important notes when the folder is full of papers from the day before. Remember to initial the communication log and feel free to add any notes to me!<\/p>\n

Snack\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong>Please remember to send only healthy snacks like fruit, vegetables, and cheese and crackers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n
