Agenda for the week<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reading\/writing\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0We worked on the letter Nn. \u00a0Please continue helping your child write their first and last name at home.\u00a0 We are continuing with writer\u2019s workshop and are learning how to draw a picture and label it or write about it. \u00a0 We are learning to put a finger space \u00a0between words and we are learning to put a period at the end of our sentence. Keep practicing your letters and sounds. I will be testing the students weekly to see how many letters they can identify.\u00a0 In order for your child to be ready for kindergarten they must be able to identify all capital and lowercase letters and make the sound of every letter.\u00a0 DONT FORGET TO DO READING EGGS AT HOME 3 DAYS A WEEK. I will be giving \u201choots\u201d to students who do Reading Eggs at home.<\/p>\n

Math<\/strong>\u00a0 \u00a0We are working on numbers from 0-10. Please\u00a0 have your child work on Math Seeds 3 days a week.\u00a0 We are working on counting to 20. We are learning to show the value of a number in different ways. \u00a0We are using our fingers, ten frames and tally marks to represent a number.<\/p>\n

Social \u00a0Studies\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0We are learning about needs and wants. \u00a0We are making charts about what our needs and wants.<\/p>\n

Science\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>We learned about forces and push and pull. \u00a0We did some experiments with cars and blocks to demonstrate forces, push and pull.<\/p>\n

Please make sure to\u00a0empty\u00a0<\/strong>the green folders each night! It is very difficult and time consuming to locate homework or important notes when the folder is full of papers from the day before. Remember to initial the communication log and feel free to add any notes to me!<\/p>\n

Snack\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong>Please remember to send only healthy snacks like fruit, vegetables, and cheese and crackers.\u00a0 PLEASE DO NOT SEND IN CANDY OR CHIPS FOR SNACK.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
