Please help your child to\u00a0 listen for the beginning sounds of the words when they are writing at home.\u00a0 Please keep the ABC chart out when you are practicing writing with your child.\u00a0 It shows how to write all of the capital and lowercase letters.\u00a0<strong>We are learning about sight words.\u00a0 This week\u2019s word was in.\u00a0 We wrote sentences with the word in. Please practice writing sentences with the word in at home. We are learning to use sight words in our writing.\u00a0 We are learning to read sight words in our books.\u00a0 We know I, a, the, and, see, like, my, am, to, can, in<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Math<\/strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 We are working on composing and decomposing numbers and number bonds.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Social \u00a0Studies\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0We are learning about our government.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Science\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0We are learning about plants and living and nonliving things.<\/p>\n<p>Please make sure to\u00a0<strong>empty\u00a0<\/strong>the green folders each night! It is very difficult and time consuming to locate homework or important notes when the folder is full of papers from the day before.
