THERE WILL BE NO HOMEWORK SENT HOME FOR THE MONTH OF MARCH!!\u00a0 PLEASE CONTINUE READING EVERY NIGHT AND CHOOSE SOME OF THE ACTIVITIES ON THE CALENDAR TO DO WITH YOUR CHILD.<\/span><\/p>\n

Agenda for the w<\/strong>eek<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reading\/writing\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0We worked on the letter Ss.\u00a0 We are learning to recognize the letter, write it correctly and learning\u00a0 it\u2019s sound.\u00a0 We are learning to write by drawing a picture and labeling it.\u00a0 We are learning to stretch out our words and write down the sounds we hear. Please help your child to\u00a0 listen for the beginning sounds of the words when they are writing at home.\u00a0 Please keep the ABC chart out when you are practicing writing with your child.\u00a0 It shows how to write all of the capital and lowercase letters. We are learning about sight words.\u00a0 This week’s word was I.\u00a0 We wrote sentences with the word I and learned to read a book called I See. Please practice writing sentences with the word I at home.<\/b><\/p>\n

Math<\/strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 We are working on subtraction and greater than and less than.<\/p>\n

Social \u00a0Studies\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0We are learning about maps and dinosaurs.<\/p>\n

Science\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0We are learning about weather.<\/p>\n

Now that the cold weather is here please send dry shoes for your child to change into if they are wearing boots to school.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Please make sure to\u00a0empty\u00a0<\/strong>the green folders each night! It is very difficult and time consuming to locate homework or important notes when the folder is full of papers from the day before. Remember to initial the communication log and feel free to add any notes to me!<\/p>\n

Please help your child to learn how to put on their coat and zip it by themselves.\u00a0 Remember, to teach them how to tie their shoes or send them to school in velcro shoes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
