{"id":598,"date":"2020-09-14T13:30:54","date_gmt":"2020-09-14T17:30:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/mrssrour\/?p=598"},"modified":"2020-09-14T13:55:14","modified_gmt":"2020-09-14T17:55:14","slug":"monday-september-9-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/mrssrour\/2020\/09\/14\/monday-september-9-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Monday, September 9, 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Happy Monday!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have officially completed our first week of virtual&nbsp;learning and I\u2019ve learned so much in the process.&nbsp;I am so proud of the students and how well they are adapting to this.&nbsp;And, thank you parents for being their support and cheering us all on.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In reflecting on this past week, I just wanted to update you with some information that I think are helpful to everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Specials (1:00 \u2013 1:54):\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Monday: Art<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tuesday: Gym<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wednesday: Music<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thursday: STEAM<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Friday: Media <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Supplies:\u00a0<\/strong> All students are expected to have the following supplies with them: Headphones, whiteboard\/marker, notebook\/pencil, books for independent reading, and Eureka Math books.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Student Expectations:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have been reviewing expectations\u00a0everyday. Here are some that students are need to continue working on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Stay on mute. Raise your hand if you\u2019d like to share.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Only respond&nbsp;<strong>appropriately<\/strong>&nbsp;in the chat room.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Have your supplies first thing in the morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Use the restroom in the morning before class and during breaks, if possible.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. Stay in front of the camera. Do not place items in front of the camera.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>6. Find a comfortable place to work and stay there. Do not walk around with your device.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>7. Work on Schoology assignments and specials after they log off of Zoom at<\/strong>\u00a01:00. Assignments will be due on the next day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important Information:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Please help your child find an appropriate place to work. Laying in bed is not conducive to a good learning environment.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2.&nbsp;<strong>Please make sure students are logging in at 8:55.<\/strong>&nbsp;In the morning we will be doing morning work, or listening to calming music and I will be sharing my screen. Being on time, will avoid distractions and getting off task.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3. Please make sure students are working in on their homework during the 1:00 \u2013 3:50. Once they are off Zoom at 1:00 they are not done with school. They still have 3 hours to complete independent work that is assigned to them. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0I know that this is a lot of information and I appreciate you reading through all of this.
