Hi all! What a fun week we have had! I’ve enjoyed getting to know the kids more as well as some of the other family members you have coming to pick up. Round 1 of our book bags are coming home! To the Family of ________________________________:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Today your child received his\/her class book bag. This book bag will travel back and forth to\nschool daily. Inside the bag you will\nfind letters, words and books that your child needs to work on for 10-15\nminutes at night. Most of the children\nwill start off with a baggie of letters and\/or sight words. You may want to practice reading and writing\nthese letters and words. Some students\nwill have activities for first and last name work as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is common for the same activities or books to stay in the\nbag for multiple days at a time. As your\nchild reaches proficiency on a task, the words, letters and books will change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Should the books or bags become lost or damaged,\nthere will be a replacement cost. \nIt is approximately $7 for the bag and $5 per book inside. As these are shared materials, please keep\nthem somewhere safe and away from water bottles, food, smoke, pets and\nbabies. J <\/p>\n\n\n\n
If your child does not bring their book bag, I am unable to\nswap out their books until the next time I meet with them. I will need your help in making sure the book\nbag along with your child\u2019s folder are both here every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
