{"id":300,"date":"2017-10-10T12:39:29","date_gmt":"2017-10-10T16:39:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/mrsharrison\/?p=300"},"modified":"2017-10-10T12:39:29","modified_gmt":"2017-10-10T16:39:29","slug":"kindergarten-parent-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/mrsharrison\/2017\/10\/10\/kindergarten-parent-meeting\/","title":{"rendered":"Kindergarten Parent Meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Thank you to all the parents who attended our parent meeting this morning!\u00a0 It was a huge success!\u00a0 Below is a summary of what was disscussed.\u00a0 If you have any questions, please let\u00a0 me know!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Early bedtime<\/strong>&#8211; Please have your child go to bed early so they are well rested for the school day.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Read every night-<\/strong>It important that you or another family member read with your child every night.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Please let your child put their own jackets on and take them off\u00a0 and get their folders and book bags out of their back backs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Please check your child&#8217;s folder every single night.\u00a0 Anything that is on the keep at home side of the folder, keep at home and anything on the return to school side, send back to school.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Book bags are sent home every night.\u00a0 Please have your child spend about 15 minutes total reading the books and practice their names or sight words.\u00a0 They are to return everything the next day.\u00a0 <strong>If books are missing, it will be a $5 charge per book.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Snacks brought to school must be healthy.\u00a0 <strong>No cookies, chips, or candy bars.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you want us to celebrate your child&#8217;s birthday in class, please send a healthy treat or goodie bag.\u00a0 Cake, cupcakes and juice are not allowed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thank you to all the parents who attended our parent meeting this morning!\u00a0 It was a huge success!\u00a0 Below is a summary of what was disscussed.\u00a0 If you have any questions, please let\u00a0 me know!
