Did you know we only have 14 1\/2 more days of school this year!? It is hard to believe that this year is almost over. We have been very busy testing over the past few weeks&#8230;&#8230;we have 2 more NWEA tests to go! I plan on having my class finished with ALL NWEA by end of day Thursday. Please encourage your children to do their very best.<\/p>\n<p>Reminders for the week:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>NWEA this week<\/li>\n<li>NO SCHOOL FRIDAY<\/li>\n<li>Made in Michigan research project&#8217;s are DUE on Thursday the 30th. Please check your child&#8217;s folder for their packet which includes detailed, step by step information on project requirements AND thier ASSIGNED presentation date.<\/li>\n<li>Mid-Module math test on THURSDAY<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Last week students &#8220;Tasted&#8221; 6 different books through our class book tasting. The kids had a great time sampling each book and picking their 3 top favorites. I assigned each students a choice based on their top 3 list and students have begun to read and discuss their books with their group members. Students will also be completing a Google slide book report on Google classroom to hold them accountable for their reading and participation in their assigned groups.<\/p>\n<p>This week we will begin to collect information and write a letter to our state representative Abdullah Hammoud about the overuse of plastic bags.<\/p>\n<p>In math we will finish up our unit on perimeter and the attributes of shapes. I plan to have a test on Thursday.
