us!\u00a0 I feel as though we just got started.\u00a0 I guess the saying is right&#8230;&#8221;Time flies when you are having fun!&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/static1.squarespace.com\/static\/52cd9b14e4b08ddc00d4924a\/t\/590f98e803596e93eb6ac29c\/1494194414715\/\" alt=\"Image result for end of year\" width=\"227\" height=\"180\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>!!!!Attention!!!!\u00a0 When the temperature outside rises, the temperature in our classroom does as well!\u00a0 Unfortunately, we do not have air conditioning in our classroom to help us during the hot, humid days.\u00a0 Please dress your child appropriately for the heat and make sure to send them to school with a reusable water bottle each day, with<\/strong><strong>\u00a0ICE COLD water!\u00a0 Thank you!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" Gratitude:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>I would just like to take a moment and thank each and every parent, grandparent, aunt, etc. for an amazing year this year!\u00a0 Being a new teacher in the district has been quite an adjustment, but all of my families made my transition so much easier with the overwhelming amount of parent participation and support I had this year.\u00a0 I will miss every child and feel privileged to have had them in my class for the short time we were together&#8230;we sure had fun and learned\u00a0 A\u00a0 LOT!\u00a0 My wish for all of you this summer is to take time to relax, reflect and prepare your child to be successful for the years ahead!\u00a0 We sure had a great thing this year and I will forever cherish our time together.\u00a0 I am always an email away&#8230;Have a WONDERFUL summer!<\/p>\n<p>Love, Mrs. Fillmore<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>&#8220;Summer\u00a0 Packet&#8221;:\u00a0 I saw this online and thought it was GREAT!\u00a0 I revamped it a little and added some ideas as well:)\u00a0 Enjoy!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Teach your child to tie their shoes.\u00a0 Find a fun trick, watch a video, give an incentive and be persistent!<\/li>\n<li>Keep bedtime in the routine!\u00a0 If we keep our bodies in a routine with sleep, August won&#8217;t be so hard!<\/li>\n<li>Choose a few family members or friends for your child to write a letter to this summer.\u00a0 Ask your child to write in full, complete sentences,\u00a0 use punctuation, spell sight words correctly, ask questions and give details!\u00a0 Include an envelope with return address and a stamp in hopes someone will write back:)<\/li>\n<li>Review the hard work your child did in school all year.\u00a0 Review their art work, writing, and the memory books they made.\u00a0 They will be proud to show you&lt;3<\/li>\n<li>Sit at the table and eat meals together.\u00a0 Really watch your child in how he or she sits on the chair, is there food everywhere?\u00a0 Are they using table manners?\u00a0 Work on that!<\/li>\n<li>Encourage kindnesses wherever your child goes!<\/li>\n<li>Don&#8217;t rush to the rescue!\u00a0 Our children need us, but they also need to learn how problem solve on their own!\u00a0 Let them take the lead in how they resolve problems!<\/li>\n<li>Read TO your child!\u00a0 Please visit the local library and make books a part of your summer days!\u00a0 Let your child hear your silly voices as you read, let them hear you read!\u00a0 Make sure to ask them questions at the end of each story!<\/li>\n<li>Try to stay away from technology as much as you can&#8230;live in the moments, they won&#8217;t last forever!<\/li>\n<li>Visit the recreation department and have your child participate in one or many activities they will have throughout the city!<\/li>\n<li>Have fun and stay safe this summer&lt;3<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Other:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your child will be coming home with a yellow Kindergarten t-shirt (on Tuesday) for him\/her to wear to our celebration on Wednesday, June 13th!\u00a0 This shirt was bought as a gift from Elliana and her family.\u00a0 We Celebration is this Wednesday at the SCHOOL!\u00a0 Here is a reminder about our day:\u00a0\u00a0<em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dear Kindergarten and Young 5\u2019s Parents,<\/span><\/em><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The end of the school year is almost upon us and to celebrate we will be having a Kindergarten and Young 5\u2019s Celebration! Our celebration will be held at school on <\/span><b>June 13<\/b><b>th<\/b><b> from 1:30 \u2013 3:15 pm. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We are looking forward to a fun-filled afternoon, but we wanted to give you some important information first.<\/span><\/em><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since all of the Kindergarten classes and Young 5\u2019s will be outside together, each class has been assigned a color to wear that day. In order for this day to be successful, we will need your help! You may be asked to help run a game, serve sno-cones, or monitor bounce houses. So please come ready to have fun and lend a helping hand! \u00a0<\/span><b>Please be aware that NO SIBLINGS will be allowed at this event. NO EXCEPTIONS. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Remember you must sign in at the office and receive a \u201cvisitor\u201d sticker.<\/span><\/em><\/span><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your child will not need to bring a backpack to school with them on this day. All of your child\u2019s belongings will be sent home with them on June 12<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/em><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
