Next week will be a 4 day week, due to the Memorial weekend holiday!  We will not  have online learning on Friday, May 22nd-Monday, May 25th.  Online learning will start back up on Tuesday, May 26th:)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FAMILIES!!  Wow!!  We had a great 8th week at home learning!  Here is a recap of our online success… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

RAZ kids-<\/strong> I had 22 students log onto RAZ kids this week, which is an 92% participation rate…I am ONE happy teacher!   I have noticed some great reading minutes this week from 22 of my students!  Keep up the great work at home and remember, students should be reading 20 minutes a day!  I am tracking the minutes your child is reading at home!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WOW!!\u00a0 46 hours logged in this week, 335 listens, 311 reads and 549 quizzes completed by my students this week!\u00a0 I want to congratulate all of my families for making this possible and promoting the importance of reading at home!\u00a0 You ALL make me proud!\u00a0 Xo\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seesaw-<\/strong>  I love being able to see all of your hard work on Seesaw!  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seesaw Read Aloud-<\/span> 87% of my students completed their favorite part activity!\u00a0 The students did an amazing job telling what their favorite part was by using complete sentences:)\u00a0 Parents, please make sure you are going to revisit your child\u2019s activities to read the comments and or suggestions.\u00a0 Thank you for your continued support<3\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seesaw Eureka Math-Lesson 2-<\/span> 23 students (95%) completed lesson 2 this week! \u00a0<\/strong>Remember: Your child should be completing the math worksheet for 15 minutes and use the remaining 15 minutes on MATH SEEDS for additional practice!\u00a0 Thank you:)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seesaw -ed word family work-<\/span> 95% of my students wrote -ed words around a flower and then read the words they wrote! \u00a0<\/strong>So proud of how well my students are doing with their spelling words!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seesaw CVCe word practice!-<\/span>\u00a0 \u00a095% of my students completed the magic E and CVC activity! I hope my students enjoyed my CVCe mini lesson on Seesaw:)\u00a0 I think my students are understanding this new skill very well!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seesaw Show \u2018N Tell-<\/span> The videos are still coming in and I LOVE each and every one of them.\u00a0 We learn something new each week about our friends and I truly love that about this activity!\u00a0 Keep the videos coming!\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Math seeds-<\/strong> We had 21 students log into mathseeds this week!  Please make sure your child is completing at least 15 minutes each day on Mathseeds to strengthen their math skills:) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reading Eggs-<\/strong> I had 21 students who logged onto reading eggs this week.  In addition to RAZ kids, I can monitor your child’s reading activities and lessons on reading eggs as well!  Another great program that Haigh offers to our families:)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Side note:<\/strong> In addition to the 5 seesaw activities a week, please make sure your child is learning their sight words (100 total or more)\/spelling words, completing 1 eureka math lesson a day with 15 minutes of Math Seeds, RAZ-kids OR Reading Eggs for 20 minutes and 1 writing prompt a day as well:)  Thank you for rocking this remote learning at home with me!  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dearborn Schools offers a Free Preschool Program<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

GSRP is a free program for all eligible families and is designed to give a high quality preschool experience prior to Kindergarten. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eligibility is primarily based on family income (federal poverty level), life experiences and child’s age.   If your child\u2019s birth date is between December 2, 2015 to December 1, 2016, your child may qualify for this program.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you would like to be sent information about registration for the 2020-2021 school year please fill in the GSRP Interest Form 2020-2021<\/a> and someone will contact you as we start the registration process. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
