Thursday, May 14th pick up personal belongings!!<\/strong>  **Please see my previous blog post for more information on personal\/drop off pick up date! Thank you:)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

FAMILIES!!  Wow!!  We had a great 7th week at home learning!  Here is a recap of our online success… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

RAZ kids-<\/strong> I had 22  students log onto RAZ kids this week, which is an 91% participation rate…I am ONE happy teacher!   I have noticed some great reading minutes this week from 22 of my students!  Please make sure to watch my video on how to use reading strategies at home with your child to help them become a strategic reader!<\/strong>  Keep up the great work at home and remember, students should be reading 20 minutes a day!  I am tracking the minutes your child is reading at home!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here are the students who leveled UP this week!  I have sent special messages to each student who leveled up on RAZ kids and awarded each student bonus STARS to spend:)<\/em> Please make sure your child looks in their messages to see the message:)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s congratulate these students for leveling up their reading on RAZ-Kids!  So AMAZING! <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seesaw-<\/strong>  I love being able to see all of your hard work on Seesaw!  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seesaw Read Aloud with Mrs. Fillmore-<\/span> 95% The students did a wonderful job listening to my story and then completing a retell story map!  I am impressed at how well my students can recall stories…way to go kiddos!  Parents, please make sure you are going to revisit your child\u2019s activities to read the comments and or suggestions.  Thank you for your continued support<3 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seesaw Eureka Math-Lesson 22<\/span>– 24 students (100%)  submitted their activity!  This is the first time in 7 week we have had 100% PARTICIPATION on Seesaw…WOW, I am on cloud 9!!!!  <\/strong>Remember: Your child should be completing the math worksheet for 15 minutes and use the remaining 15 minutes on MATH SEEDS for additional practice!  Thank you:)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seesaw -ad word family work<\/span>– 100% of my students<\/strong> sorted words that were in the -ad family and words that were not!!  We rocked out another great word family activity this week!  My students are doing a great job at their spelling words!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seesaw Selfies…Mother\u2019s Day Edition:)<\/span>–   I loved seeing all of the mother day selfies and listening to the recordings on why your mother is special to you!  The recordings really touched my heart<3 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seesaw Show \u2018N Tell-<\/span> The videos are still coming in and I LOVE each and every one of them.  We learn something new each week about our friends and I truly love that about this activity!  Keep the videos coming!  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Math seeds-<\/strong> We had 22 students log into mathseeds this week!  That is a 91% participation rate! Please make sure your child is completing at least 15 minutes each day on Mathseeds to strengthen their math skills:) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reading Eggs-<\/strong> I had 20 students who logged onto reading eggs this week.  In addition to RAZ kids, I can monitor your child’s reading activities and lessons on reading eggs as well!  Another great program that Haigh offers to our families:)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Side note:<\/strong> In addition to the 5 seesaw activities a week, please make sure your child is learning their sight words (100 total or more)\/spelling words, completing 1 eureka math lesson a day with 15 minutes of Math Seeds, RAZ-kids OR Reading Eggs for 20 minutes and 1 writing prompt a day as well:)  Thank you for rocking this remote learning at home with me!  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dearborn Schools offers a Free Preschool Program<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

GSRP is a free program for all eligible families and is designed to give a high quality preschool experience prior to Kindergarten. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eligibility is primarily based on family income (federal poverty level), life experiences and child’s age.   If your child\u2019s birth date is between December 2, 2015 to December 1, 2016, your child may qualify for this program.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you would like to be sent information about registration for the 2020-2021 school year please fill in the GSRP Interest Form 2020-2021<\/a> and someone will contact you as we start the registration process. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
