{"id":2233,"date":"2020-01-06T08:50:59","date_gmt":"2020-01-06T13:50:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/mrsfillmore\/?p=2233"},"modified":"2020-01-06T08:52:29","modified_gmt":"2020-01-06T13:52:29","slug":"spelling-booklets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/mrsfillmore\/2020\/01\/06\/spelling-booklets\/","title":{"rendered":"Spelling Booklets!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Welcome Back:):) <strong>Spelling words start this week! \u00a0<\/strong>Each week, the communication log will list the 9 spelling words to practice spelling with your child at home and 1 BONUS\/COLD word you will have to practice with your child at home! \u00a0Our spelling tests will generally take place every Friday. Each test, for the <em>whole<\/em> year, is taken in 1 booklet. Our FIRST spelling test is this Friday, January 10th.\u00a0 \u00a0I will grade the tests over the weekend and send the booklet home with your child the following Monday for you to view.  <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Please look through the test on Monday (to see how your child performed), sign on the parent signature line and send the booklet back in their green folder on Tuesday<\/span>. <strong>Please make sure that the booklet comes back every Tuesday so I can distribute them on Friday for the following test. <\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0If for some reason your child loses the booklet, you will be responsible for making them another spelling booklet.<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> <strong>Remember:<\/strong> your child will have to spell and write each word in the booklet. When you practice the words with your child at home, please make sure your child is forming each letter correctly (or the word will be wrong).<\/span> \u00a0Your cooperation is appreciated!
