\nToday at the Kindergarten meeting, we discussed a letter\/sound handout that your child will be coming home with.\u00a0 This handout is a current <\/u><\/strong>standing of what letters your child can recognize (upper and lowercase) and what sounds your child knows.\u00a0\u00a0 The letters and or sounds your child does not demonstrate yet, will be highlighted in yellow!<\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0 These are the letters and sounds to work with your child at home.<\/strong>\u00a0 \u00a0This handout can be used as a checklist to see how your child is progressing with the letters\/sounds at home.\u00a0 There is a huge push for EACH child to read proficiently by 3rd<\/sup> grade throughout the state.\u00a0 Your child learning their letters and sounds is the first, and most<\/em> important, step in helping them become leaders in READING and WRITING!\u00a0 This handout will be coming home in your child’s folder today!\u00a0 If you have any questions please let me know!<\/p>\n
