{"id":1713,"date":"2019-04-18T10:54:28","date_gmt":"2019-04-18T14:54:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/mrsfillmore\/?p=1713"},"modified":"2019-04-18T11:04:03","modified_gmt":"2019-04-18T15:04:03","slug":"newsletter-week-31-recap-and-new-info","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/mrsfillmore\/2019\/04\/18\/newsletter-week-31-recap-and-new-info\/","title":{"rendered":"Newsletter Week 31 (Recap and NEW Info)!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Spelling Test: We only had 10 students receive a 100% on our spelling test this week and it was due to the cold word &#8220;shrub.&#8221;\u00a0 I highly encourage all parents to spend at least 10 minutes a night with your child practicing their spelling words and also the 2 cold\/bonus words as well.\u00a0 The cold\/bonus word helps me better understand if the child understands the word family\/rhyme\/ pattern and their beginning sounds.\u00a0 Please use homework time to practice all 10 words each night and the 2 cold\/bonus words as well.\u00a0 Thank you for your understanding and partnership!\u00a0 Have a nice 3 day weekend everyone:)<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><i>Information: Picnic for the planet on Monday, April 22nd:<\/i><\/strong><\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0We will be having a PBIS celebration to recognize your child&#8217;s positive behavior. This month\u2019s celebration theme is Picnic for the Planet. I am so proud of each student who worked so hard all week to ensure they were successful on their test! \u00a0If your child received a 100%, they will write with a &#8220;smart&#8221; pen all day Monday and also participate in &#8220;NO shoes afternoon&#8221; on Monday as well:) \u00a0On Monday, once your child comes in from recess, they will be able to take their shoes off and relax for the last part of the day. <b>Please make sure your child knows how to independently take off and put on their shoes. \u00a0I appreciate your support in this matter! <\/b>\u00a0Also, make sure to wash your child&#8217;s socks as soon as they come home on Monday, they may be a little darker than normal;)<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Please consider buying something from our Scholastic Book Club at: <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/clubs.scholastic.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">https:\/\/clubs.scholastic.com\/<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0Activation code: RKYTJ. If for some reason your child doesn\u2019t finish his\/her classwork in class, I will send it home for homework to be completed at home and returned the next day. \u00a0Thank you for your support!<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Please make sure you provide your child with a NUT FREE snack. \u00a0\u00a0We are a NUT FREE classroom.
