If for some reason your child doesn\u2019t finish his\/her classwork in class, I will send it home for homework to be completed at home and returned the next day. \u00a0Thank you for your support!<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><b>What we did during our week:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Language Arts<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: We had a fun week learning all about letters A &amp; Z.\u00a0 We learned what sound each letter made, how to recognize a uppercase\/lowercase letter and how to write the letters on the line. Instead we want to see: Cooper (Uppercase C and the rest lowercase). \u00a0Please let me know if you have any questions with this:) Next week we will talk about labeling pictures:) <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Math<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: \u00a0We worked on Modules 1-4 in the classroom (exactly the same\/ not the same because\u2026). \u00a0Next week we will complete lessons 5-9. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Science<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: We have started learning about our 5 senses: sight, touch, smell, taste and hear. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Five Senses | The Dr. Binocs Show | Educational Videos For Kids\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/q1xNuU7gaAQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><b>Social Studies<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0We will continue to go over our classroom rules each day: Looking eyes, hands to self, inside voices, listening ears and walking feet:) \u00a0Here are some videos for you and your child to watch at home together:)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Homework:<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We are kicking off a world of learning in Kindergarten! \u00a0\u00a0With learning comes extension activities to do at home with your child to better prepare them for Kindergarten and beyond. \u00a0Every Monday, your child will come home with a homework packet. Your child will have a reading log to complete each night, a language art worksheet to complete each night and a homework assignment in their Eureka Math Succeed workbook each night as well. \u00a0Every Friday, your child\u2019s homework packet is due, but they will keep their SUCCEED book at home with them. You will not bring the succeed workbook back to school. It will stay at home throughout the whole school year. Dearborn Public Schools purchased a new math curriculum this year, so this will be a learning experience for all of us:)\u00a0 Please let me know if you have any questions. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Open House:<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thank you to those who came to Open House on Thursday. \u00a0It was so nice seeing all of you participating with your child with the scavenger hunt! \u00a0Please don\u2019t forgot your day and time you signed up for Parent Teacher Conferences. I will send reminders to you at the end of October:)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Donors Choose Project:\u00a0 <\/b>I am happy to report that our Donors Choose project has been funded by an ANONYMOUS person.
