There is so much learning involved:  math, science, reading, and collaboration!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I can&#8217;t wait to see what you create with your playdough.  Remember to put it in a Ziplock bag or a sealed plastic container so it lasts a long time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>1&nbsp;cup of flour<\/li><li>1\/4 cup of salt<\/li><li>3\/4 cup of water<\/li><li>3 tablespoons of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/ReaLemon-Lemon-Juice-32-Oz\/dp\/B005F25FIU\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?s=grocery&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1473391703&amp;sr=1-4&amp;keywords=lemon+juice&amp;linkCode=ll1&amp;tag=mominslif-20&amp;linkId=dc67322d05d8c4b47a39ded6758a564a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lemon juice<\/a><\/li><li>1 tablespoon of vegetable oil<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Wilton-601-5581-Piece-Primary-Color\/dp\/B01EOK9L5G\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?s=grocery&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1473390854&amp;sr=1-16&amp;keywords=gel+food+coloring&amp;linkCode=ll1&amp;tag=mominslif-20&amp;linkId=999cdd876168b04b21d733c57619f2ad\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Food coloring<\/a><\/li><li>Any seasonings or&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Kool-Aid-Variety-48-Packs\/dp\/B0019MMQXM\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1473391556&amp;sr=8-2&amp;keywords=koolaid&amp;linkCode=ll1&amp;tag=mominslif-20&amp;linkId=1a4050450f8fa4469a6e8ecb9795c652\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">scents<\/a>&nbsp;you would like<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Making the Play Dough:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Add the water, oil and lemon juice to a medium&nbsp;non-stick pot and heat on medium heat on the stove (maybe even slightly lower heat depending on your stove).<\/li><li>Add&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Wilton-601-5581-Piece-Primary-Color\/dp\/B01EOK9L5G\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?s=grocery&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1473390854&amp;sr=1-16&amp;keywords=gel+food+coloring&amp;linkCode=ll1&amp;tag=mominslif-20&amp;linkId=999cdd876168b04b21d733c57619f2ad\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">food coloring<\/a>, liquid scents or&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Kool-Aid-Variety-48-Packs\/dp\/B0019MMQXM\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1473391556&amp;sr=8-2&amp;keywords=koolaid&amp;linkCode=ll1&amp;tag=mominslif-20&amp;linkId=1a4050450f8fa4469a6e8ecb9795c652\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kool-Aid<\/a>&nbsp;to the water mixture.<\/li><li>In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt and any dry seasonings you are using.<\/li><li>After the water is hot, but not boiling, slowly add the dry ingredients to the pot and&nbsp;while mixing to combine. I use a wooden or plastic cooking spoon.<\/li><li>Continuously stir until the ingredients combine, dry out and begin to form a ball. If there are parts that seem a bit sticky still, just flatten the dough out and put the sticky side down on the bottom of the pot very briefly. Flip back and forth frequently until it doesn\u2019t seem sticky anymore.&nbsp;However, don\u2019t cook it too long. It is better to be a bit undercooked as it will firm up as it cools down.<\/li><li>Place on a sheet of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Cut-Rite-Wax-Paper-Reynolds-Sq-Ft\/dp\/B0036QO8M6\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1473391760&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=wax+paper&amp;linkCode=ll1&amp;tag=mominslif-20&amp;linkId=3d568c712fee8ffa03bec1bd094d51e7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wax paper<\/a>&nbsp;until it cools down a bit.
