The students in Mrs. Donelson&#8217;s class were assigned with the STEM based task of designing a boat for their little copper friends.<\/strong><\/span> \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">The Process<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Students had to develop two boat designs that would support 20 pennies\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">They had to list their materials and the properties of each material<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Designs needed to be shared and collaborated on with a partner\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Finally, the boat was created<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Students learned through the process of trial and error<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">&#8220;You try, you fail, you try, you fail&#8230;but the only true failure is when you stop trying.&#8221; -Madame Leota from
