This week we will be learning:<\/p>\n
Science\u2013We will be learning about shadows.<\/p>\n
Social Studies\u2013We will be learning about the regions of Michigan and the regions\u00a0we belong to in the U.S.<\/p>\n
Math\u2013 We will be learning about time\/elapsed time, number patterns, and fact families<\/p>\n
Writing\u2013 We will continue writing personal narratives, working on paragraphing, how to end a story, and using quotation marks.<\/p>\n
Reading\u2013 We need to read Good-Fit Books every night to strengthen our skills.\u00a0 Also please question your child about what they are reading, this helps their comprehension. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Students will\u00a0need a non-fiction book this week\u00a0for the book log and\u00a0report due on Friday.\u00a0 The report sheet will come home on Monday.<\/p>\n

Cursive\u2013 We continue learning cursive writing<\/p>\n
Test Taking Skills\u2013Mrs. Philpott and\u00a0I are teaching the children some test taking skills so they are ready for the MEAP test in October.<\/p>\n
