Learning how to read and create a line plot. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">We will be taking our Math Assessment this week.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>THANK YOU for the dice &amp; playing card donations! Math centers are even more fun now!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Daily 5<\/strong>: Building our reading stamina. Continuing to Work on Writing, Read to Self, Read to Someone and practicing our Spelling Words during Word Work.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Writing:<\/strong> Finishing our opinion writing unit. Starting our informational unit with a focus on writing about U.S. Regions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Science<\/strong>: Lots of fun hands on science this week! We are in need of many donations to help make our science experiments successful!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Social Studies<\/strong>: Wrapping up our Regions unit. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">We will be taking our common assessment this week.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&gt; Students will show the ability to divide the U.S. into regions and explain why.<\/p>\n<p>&gt; Students will show the ability to identify which direction to travel when leaving from Michigan and going to a given location. Example: Which direction do you travel from Michigan to Alaska?<\/p>\n<p class=\"c7\"><strong>Spelling<\/strong>: <span class=\"c3 c4\">Multisyllabic words &#8211; Long Vowels (i)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c7 c12\"><span class=\"c2\">\u00a0flight, slight sigh, fright, bright, might, climb, twice, wildlife, mind, median, mode, data, maximum, minimum<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c7 c12\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday:<\/strong> Picture Day!!! Students should dress for picture day &amp; P.E. or bring a change of clothes for P.E. Students have a kicking test in P.E. on Monday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday:<\/strong> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Spelling Test<\/span> (students must have 5 word work activities turned in to take their spelling test)<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Halloween parade<\/span>&#8211; students may <strong>bring costumes<\/strong> to change into after lunch at 2 PM. <strong>No<\/strong> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">bloody costumes<\/span> and <strong>no<\/strong> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">weapons.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n<p>Donations needed:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 4 boxes of <strong>cornstarch<\/strong> for Science experiments starting Tuesday<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 1 package of <strong>food coloring<\/strong> for Science experiments starting Tuesday<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 1 small\/medium container of <strong>vinegar<\/strong> for Science experiments starting Tuesday<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 4 boxes of <strong>baking soda<\/strong> for Science experiments starting Tuesday<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 1 box of <strong>borax power<\/strong> for Science experiments starting Tuesday<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 30 <strong>paper plates<\/strong> for Science<strong>. <\/strong>Must be paper plates, not Styrofoam.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <strong>candy<\/strong> or<strong> pre-packaged treats <\/strong>(bagged pretzels, bagged Goldfish, fruit snacks, bagged Chez-Its) for Halloween on Friday<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <strong>7 pumpkins <\/strong>for Science starting on Tuesday<\/p>\n<p>No donations are required.
