I know it seems weird to call this &#8220;Week 1&#8221;, but we are living in weird times.  I sent out an e-mail today that said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Good Day and Welcome to Chemistry:\u00a0 We are trying to do some good review before doing any new chemistry.\u00a0 So, we are asking our chemistry students to go to\u00a0 explorelearning.com\u00a0and sign up for Gizmos.\u00a0 Use your real name and school e-mail.\u00a0 The class code for <strong>3rd hour is B57HL7<\/strong>.\u00a0 Also, we will be having a <strong>Google Hangout on Monday from 2:20 -3:00 p.m<\/strong>.\u00a0The &#8220;Nickname&#8221; for our first third hour hangout will be Week1Breezy.\u00a0 Remember, this is our first time hanging out, so there might be a couple of hiccups.\u00a0 Be patient.\u00a0 Be sure to log in with your name.\u00a0 You&#8217;ll be asked to add a comment to verify that you showed up.\u00a0 If you can&#8217;t make it for a legitimate reason, please contact me and we can try again on Wednesday.\u00a0 Look for information on my iBlog.\u00a0 Look in Remind.\u00a0 Look in your school e-mail.\u00a0 If you fail to show up and don&#8217;t do the work you cannot receive a grade in chemistry for the semester.\u00a0 The administration requires that I give them the names of recalcitrant students.Basic etiquette (the norms) for a hangout:1.\u00a0 Be on time.2.\u00a0 Find a quiet place free from distraction.3.\u00a0 Maintain respect in speaking, writing and appearance.\u00a0\u00a04.\u00a0 Stay on mute unless you have something relevant to contribute.5.\u00a0 Video needs to remain ON to promote focus.\u00a0 Eye contact should be maintained.6.\u00a0 Refrain from chewing gum, eating and drinking in front of the camera.\u00a0\u00a0<br>Look for the week&#8217;s assignment in the iBlog on Sundays by noon.\u00a0 The work will be due by Friday at 10 a.m.\u00a0 Do your best.\u00a0 Do your own work.\u00a0 Contact Mr. Brown via Remind if you get stuck somewhere.\u00a0 The code for Remind in chemistry is @Brownd5.\u00a0\u00a0<br>Thank you!\u00a0 See you Monday!T.
