We started off with distributing a couple new materials for this semester and then worked in small groups to evaluate and critique classroom norms and expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Wednesday, January 22:<\/strong> Half day, hours 1-3 only! We started off with distributing a couple new materials for this semester and then worked in small groups to evaluate and critique classroom norms and expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Thursday, January 23:<\/strong> It&#8217;s our first official, whole day of second semester! Students spent the hour exploring our new resource (Pearson Envision) and trying their hand at the Readiness Assessment for Topic 6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Friday, January 24:<\/strong> Students got some additional practice for the upcoming SAT by visiting Khan Academy and joining our class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.khanacademy.org\/join\/A4YQ9MZX\">First Hour<\/a> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.khanacademy.org\/join\/4KKEGGTH\">Second Hour<\/a> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.khanacademy.org\/join\/2P9EY22S\">Fourth Hour<\/a> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.khanacademy.org\/join\/T3HVXA5P\">Fifth Hour<\/a> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.khanacademy.org\/join\/N9BXYUXC\">Sixth Hour<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The seniors amongst us (who will not be taking the SAT this coming April) instead went back to the Envision website and practiced the suggested assignments from yesterday&#8217;s readiness assessment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Monday, January 20: MLK Jr. Day!
