I love this demonstration using toothpaste. To do this, you just need a travel size tube of toothpaste, toothpicks and paper plates. I gave each group one tube of toothpaste and each student a toothpick. We discussed how you cannot take words back. When we say hurtful things, we can apologize but cannot take them back.
