{"id":195,"date":"2019-10-28T19:04:57","date_gmt":"2019-10-28T23:04:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/moisa\/?p=195"},"modified":"2019-10-28T19:04:58","modified_gmt":"2019-10-28T23:04:58","slug":"october-28-november-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/moisa\/2019\/10\/28\/october-28-november-1\/","title":{"rendered":"October 28- November 1"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hello Families!<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We are off to another busy and fun week here in preschool.\u00a0 We are continuing to work on our names, letters and reviewing our colors.\u00a0 We are also working on being a good friend and following the rules of the classroom.\u00a0 <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What We Are Learning\u2026<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Names-<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We are learning to recognize the letters in our name and the order the letters go in.&nbsp; Please practice on recognizing the letters in your child\u2019s name and the order in which they go (Rajaa- R-a-j-a-a).<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Letters-&nbsp;<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We made it through our first week of letters.&nbsp; Each week that we do letters, we will focus on 2 new letters.&nbsp; Students will learn to identify the letters, the sound, recognize the letter in print and write the letter on their own.&nbsp; Please practice these letters at home with your child.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ee- Edna Elephant<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hh- Hattie Horse<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Please review previously learned letters with your child by identifying the letters in print (on books, clothing, signs and other things found around the house), the letter sounds and how to write uppercase (capital) and lowercase letters.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ll- Larry Lion, Ff- Fifi Fish<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Colors-<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Please review colors learned by finding them in your home (on clothing, boxes, in books) or while out at the store or even playing outside (red,&nbsp;blue,&nbsp;yellow,&nbsp;green,&nbsp;purple,&nbsp;orange,&nbsp;brown,&nbsp;black, pink, white, gray)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reminders-<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>\nPlease make sure you empty your child\u2019s folder (and backpack) for important notes and the work they do.&nbsp; Please keep those papers at home.\n<\/li><li>\nMake sure your child dresses for the weather.&nbsp; We are getting into our cold mornings and cool afternoons.&nbsp; Please make sure your child has a heavy coat, hat and gloves.&nbsp; We will continue to go outside as the weather permits.\n<\/li><li>\nOne more thing, please have your child practice putting their coat on and zipping it up by themselves.&nbsp; We are working on building this independence at school so they can get ready for outside time on their own with minimal help.&nbsp; Thank you again for all your help and support!\n<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello Families!
