{"id":174,"date":"2019-10-18T13:30:07","date_gmt":"2019-10-18T17:30:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/moisa\/?p=174"},"modified":"2019-10-18T13:15:45","modified_gmt":"2019-10-18T17:15:45","slug":"october-21-25","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/moisa\/2019\/10\/18\/october-21-25\/","title":{"rendered":"October 21- 25"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hello Families!<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Thank you for a\nwonderful parent meeting!&nbsp; I know the children enjoyed showing you our\nbooks.&nbsp; I hope everyone was able to take away some ideas from our meeting\nthat can be used at home along with utilizing the resources from our Dearborn\nLibraries.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Well things around\nhere just keep getting more and more busy!&nbsp; We have finished our colors\nand will start our letter journey this week.&nbsp; We will learn 2 letters a\nweek.&nbsp; We will be sending a note home about the order in which we will be\nlearning our letters!&nbsp; I hope you are as excited about this letter journey\nas we are!<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We are continuing\nto grow each day and starting to become more independent.&nbsp; We are working\non solving our problems simply, getting materials we need during work time, and\nlearning how to take care of ourselves (sneezing or coughing in our sleeve,\ngetting a Kleenex, washing our hands and preparing for arrival and dismissal on\nour own).<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">What We Are Learning\u2026<\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Names-<\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We are learning to\nrecognize the letters in our name and the order the letters go in.&nbsp; Please\npractice on recognizing the letters in your child\u2019s name and the order in which\nthey go (Rajaa- R-a-j-a-a).<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Letters-\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">This week begins\nour letter journey.&nbsp; Each week, we will focus on 2 new letters.&nbsp;\nStudents will learn to identify the letters, the sound, recognize the letter in\nprint and write the letter on their own.&nbsp; Please practice these letters at\nhome with your child.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ll- Larry Lion<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ff- Fifi Fish<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Colors-<\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Please review colors learned by finding them in your home (on clothing, boxes, in books) or while out at the store or even playing outside (red,\u00a0blue,\u00a0yellow,\u00a0green,\u00a0purple,\u00a0orange,\u00a0brown,\u00a0 black,\u00a0 pink, white, gray)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Reminders-<\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00b7\u00a0Please make sure you continue to check\u00a0 and empty your child\u2019s folder (and backpack) for important notes and the work they do.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00b7\u00a0Make sure your child dresses for the weather.\u00a0 We are getting into cold mornings and cool afternoons.\u00a0 Please make sure your child has a heavy coat, hat and gloves.\u00a0 We will continue to go outside as the weather permits.<\/h4>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello Families!
