Week of September 30- October 4

Dear Parents,

Welcome to our class blog. It’s finally up and running. You have access to the GSRP Handbook, class information and links for you and your child to use. I will be subscribing you to our class blog so you have access to the important information. If you get an invite, please accept so you are aware of what we have going on in class.

On our class blog you will find pictures, weekly updates on what we are learning, reminders, no school days and many other things.

What We are Learning…

Colors-

We are going to begin our color journey. Each day your child will learn a new color. Please review the color at home with your child finding things in your home and outside that correspond to the color we’ve learned. We will also practice finding objects in our classroom of the colors we have learned. The colors we are learning this week are…

Red

Blue

Yellow

Green

Please make sure you look for the baggie in your child’s folder each day to send in an object of that color for your child to share with their peers. The students have so much fun sharing their objects with their classmates.

Names-

Please begin to work on your child’s name. Have your child practice recognizing their name and beginning to talk about the letters that make up their name. We will begin exploring our names in the next week. Thank you!

Reminders-

  • Please make sure your child brings their folder to school each day.
  • Make sure your child is dressed for the weather. We go outside every day and the weather has a mind of its own right now. We want your children to be comfortable if we are outside.
  • Blankets- bring to school and place in lockers on Monday. Blankets go home on Thursdays to be washed.
  • Please make sure you are signing your child IN and OUT each day along with writing the time down.
