Good Afternoon Parents,<\/p>\n
The 4th<\/sup>\u00a0and 5th<\/sup>\u00a0grade classes are participating in a cardboard challenge in honor of Earth Day. Students are creating a game that is primarily made out of a cardboard box (other materials can be used as well, but the main material should be cardboard). If you have not had the chance to watch the video, Caine\u2019s Arcade, please do so.\u00a0https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=faIFNkdq96U<\/a> The focus is to use recycled materials in honor of Earth Day, please don\u2019t run out and buy items.<\/p>\n Students should work on this project primarily at home. We will only have one day in class before the presentation date to finish up. Students can work alone or in groups. For fifth grade, this is not a graded project but we are encouraging all students to participate!<\/p>\n Your child will have a chance to share their game with the lower grades at the end of April (exact date TBD).\u00a0 Students from grades k-3 will have the chance to play the games while your child runs them.
