Dear Room 6 Parents,<\/p>\n

The Battle Against Hunger will have a canned food collection at Haigh in main hallway from Nov. 12th-16th.\u00a0 This school year, all three Dearborn High Schools and our feeders will be raising money for two charities:\u00a0 Amity and Zaaman\u00a0 The goal is to raise\u00a0$7,600 for Amity (will feed 100 families) and 30,000 cans for Zaaman\u2019s food pantry.\u00a0 There will also be a Turkey Trot on Saturday, November 10th at 9:30 a.m.<\/h2>\n

\u00a0Our class made a goal of 200 cans to be turned in by November 16th<\/sup><\/strong>! If each student brings in 9 canned goods (including me), then we will make our goal. The prize for meeting our goal will be a pizza party on November 20th.<\/p>\n

Students can collect these canned food items by going house to house asking for donations or asking family members and friends.<\/p>\n
