Hype will be distributing Thanksgiving meals for families that are struggling, will go out and feed homeless veterans, individuals at a Detroit homeless shelter and refugees.\u00a0 Each meal will consist of a turkey,\u00a0canned\u00a0corn, boxed mashed\/scalloped potatoes, cranberry sauce,\u00a0canned\u00a0green beans\/vegetables, Jiff cornbread\/cake mix and\u00a0canned\u00a0fruit. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Our class made a goal of 290 cans to be turned in by November 15<sup>th<\/sup><\/strong>! If each student brings in 10 canned goods (including me), then we will make our goal. The prize for meeting our goal will be a pizza party on November 26th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students can collect these canned food items by going house to house asking for donations or asking family members and friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is the list of acceptable non-perishable items that your child can donate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Canned pumpkin<\/li><li>Canned yams<\/li><li>Cranberry sauce<\/li><li>Canned Corn<\/li><li>Instant mashed potatoes<\/li><li>Rice<\/li><li>Broth (chicken or beef)<\/li><li>Cans or jars of Gravy<\/li><li>Boxed stuffing<\/li><li>Macaroni and Cheese<\/li><li>Pasta and Pasta Sauce<\/li><li>Canned tuna or salmon<\/li><li>Canned chicken or other meats<\/li><li>Canned beans<\/li><li>Canned soups and stews<\/li><li>Peanut butter and Jelly<\/li><li>Muffin\/Cake\/Brownie Mix<\/li><li>Apple Sauce<\/li><li>Cereal<\/li><li>Jell-O<\/li><li>Pudding Mix<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The purpose of this is to give back to our community!
