What we did during our week:<\/b><\/p>\n
Even with a short week, we got through a lot! <\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Language Arts and Writing: We worked on recognizing and writing the letter D and the letter W. Our Daily 5 is in full swing! We have been building stamina as we \u2018read to self\u2019. \u00a0Also, please ask your child about how we read to self and practice this at home with them.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n We read the whole time<\/span><\/p>\n We stay in one spot<\/span><\/p>\n We work quietly<\/span><\/p>\n We keep our eyes on our book<\/span><\/p>\n We sit an arm span away<\/span><\/p>\n We build stamina<\/span><\/p>\n We get started right away<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Math: We practiced recognizing, writing and representing numbers 9 and 10. Our math centers will start next week!<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Science: We took a 5 senses assessment and talked about pumpkins!<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Other: We had a ton of fun on our field trip – it was great to see so many parents!<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Housekeeping items:<\/b><\/p>\n The parent meeting is next week – more information will be sent home with your child on Monday about this. \u00a0\u00a0Please check your child\u2019s folder and log daily!<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Our Kindergarten students could not participate in the popcorn sale because we are not here on Friday. \u00a0If you sent money for the popcorn sale, it was sent back in your child\u2019s folder. \u00a0Thank you for your understanding in this matter. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n GREAT news! \u00a0Mathseeds is now available! When you log on to your child\u2019s Reading Eggs account, there will be an additional tab for math seeds. \u00a0Math Seeds and Reading Eggs will help excel your child in both content areas. \u00a0Please make sure to log in frequently and have fun with your child with these free learning programs the school purchased:) \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Upcoming Events:<\/b><\/p>\n October 12th- Parent meeting (8-8:30am) in the Media Center.<\/span><\/p>\n October 13th- \u00bd day for students. \u00a0Dismissal at 11:40 a.m.<\/span><\/p>\n October 18th- Late Start. \u00a0Students will arrive at 9:35 a.m.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" What we did during our week: Even with a short week, we got through a lot!
